Living Authentically: Exploring Gender Identity Together

For adults (18+) who are exploring their gender identity or starting to come out as trans or gender diverse. This group offers a supportive space to share experiences, talk about the challenges and joys of being true to yourself, and navigate the path of self-discovery. Together, we'll discuss what it means to live authentically, explore the emotions that come up, and talk about things to consider when coming out or expressing your gender identity.

This group meets online every Monday at 8:00pm, starting December 2nd, for one hour and has no end date. This is a group created to offer ongoing support throughout what can often be a long complex journey of gender related self-actualization; you leave the group when you are ready, the group does not leave you. The maximum group size is 10 people. If there are openings, new members are able to start the first Monday of each month.

The idea of group therapy may be new to you, or you may wonder if it will help you. The great news is that group therapy has been shown to be as or more effective than individual therapy, and while the idea of sharing your private struggles with a group of people you don’t know yet can feel scary and vulnerable, doing just that in a safe, professionally conducted group therapy environment can be extraordinarily healing and create a tremendous sense of connection, self-acceptance, and personal empowerment.
